The Princess and Curdie follows the adventures of Curdie, who has returned to his life as a miner after dismissing the supernatural events from “The Princess and the Goblin.” When Curdie callously wounds a pigeon, his conscience leads him to seek help from Princess Irene’s mystical great-great-grandmother. She performs an extraordinary ritual that grants Curdie the ability to see the true nature of people’s hearts through their “animal” manifestation. Accompanied by Lina, a peculiar doglike creature who was once human, Curdie embarks on a quest to resolve his own skepticism and use these newfound powers to combat an evil force threatening the kingdom’s future.
