Description:

After his father’s untimely death, young Ralph Moody takes on the responsibilities of a man in his family. During his twelfth summer, he works at a cattle ranch near Pike’s Peak, earning a dollar a day and facing challenges against seasoned cowboys both in the range and corral. He drives cattle through a dust storm, indulges in hearty flapjacks, and develops an unexpected bond with a blue horse named “outlaw.” This book continues the adventures of Little Britches as he matures on this ranch journey before moving eastward for a new beginning.
