Microsoft recently updated the SSL library and Windows 7 can’t connect to Microsoft servers because Windows 7 is old and discontinued. How Do I Activate Windows?
- Install Windows from the official ISO below (never the Evaluation edition).
- Open Settings > System > Activation.
- Choose Change product key and enter the 25-character key.
- Windows contacts the Microsoft servers and activates in a few seconds.

The key does not work — what should I do?
- Check the key was typed exactly as delivered, without extra spaces.
- Make sure the installed edition matches this licence exactly (edition, version and bit count) and is not an Evaluation build.
